About Clark

He’s Back. Get the Story.

Coming back changed everything.

The way I see beauty.
The way I work.
The way I listen.

What I do now is more intentional.
More focused.
Less interested in perfection and more interested in truth.

The Backstory

Before the Chair.

I didn’t set out to build a career in hair.
I started somewhere else entirely, serving in the U.S. Navy, traveling through parts of the world that shift how you see people, culture, and identity.

That perspective stayed with me.

It’s what eventually led me behind the chair.

Celebrity Culture

Over the years, my work has shown up in places like Modern Salon, Vogue events, Launchpad, and across film, television, and music.

I’ve had the opportunity to work alongside and style individuals who shape culture, not just follow it.

And I’ve been fortunate to build relationships that go beyond the chair.

That part matters more than any list.

Becoming Clark

What began as a curiosity turned into a career that moved quickly -- across cities, across industries, across a wide spectrum of people and stories. It led to working with actors, musicians, founders, and public figures. Red carpets, campaigns, editorial, and television.

But that was never the point. The real work has always been more personal than that. No formulas. No one-size-fits-all.Just instinct, experience, and attention to detail.

Shaped by San Francisco

San Francisco has always been part of that perspective.

It’s a city that doesn’t try to smooth out its edges.
There’s texture here. Contrast. Identity.

That energy shows up in my work.

Beclarked

At some point, the work extended beyond the chair.

I created beclarked as a way to bring that same standard into everyday routines—products designed to maintain integrity, movement, and longevity without overcomplicating things. It’s not about selling more steps.
It’s about doing the right ones well.

The line has been recognized within the industry, but more importantly, it’s used by people who expect their hair to hold up in real life, not just under lights.

Education + Legacy

What’s next is about sharing more of what I’ve learned.

Through be Clarkeducated, I’m developing education for stylists who want to refine their craft and build something lasting, not just follow trends.

Because the industry doesn’t need more noise.
It needs more substance.

Philanthropy

There’s also a deeper layer to all of this.

The work I do and the brand I’m building supports the JWC Parkinson’s Foundation, created in honor of my partner.

That connection is personal.

And it’s a reminder that what we create should mean something beyond ourselves.

This is where I am now.

Back behind the chair. Doing the work, differently,
and better than before.
